Recently, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Military Commission of the Central Committee of the CPC issued medals in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the PRC. Wu Jianhua, a national model worker, founder and former chairman of Jiangsu Chaoli Building Materials Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Levima Advanced Materials Corporation, was awarded the commemorative medal.
Wu Jianhua, male, born in Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province. He has successively won the model worker in county, city, hall, province, ministry and national level, the National May 1 Labour Medal and outstanding Party members in county, city, hall and province level from 1979 to 1996. In 2008, Wu Jianhua Model Worker Team Innovation Studio was set up. The studio developed and strengthened the model worker team and inherited the spirit of model worker through the way of tutors teaching disciples.
Issuing the medals in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the PRC is an important part of the series of celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC. It is of great significance to strengthen patriotic education, cultivate and practice the core socialist values, and enhance the cohesion and charisma of the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. According to the introduction of the person-in-charge from the Office of the Party and State Merit Honor Committee, medals in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the PRC is issued to the following eligible persons:
-Living veterans and comrades who participated in the work on the revolution before the founding of the PRC;
-Living individuals who received honors and awards at the State level and above after the founding of the PRC;
-Living service personnel and veterans who received honors above the first-class merit citation for fighting wars after the founding of the PRC;
-Foreign friends who have made outstanding contributions to the founding of the PRC.
